Hello, another month and another blog post. I keep saying that I'll do these more often but then life gets in the way of things and I forget to make one of these. Do me a favor, if you're reading this and you get any sort of enjoyment or just good information out of it, send me a message to let me know. That might motivate me to do more of them.
So, it's the end of June and the pre-orders for the As Hope Dies and Decontaminate just wrapped up. Remind me to not do another double pre-order. It probably didn't help with the pre-sales, but my rationale is that I'm actually going to be making the pilgrimage up to Pennsylvania to pick these records up and I thought I could make the trip more worthwhile if there are double the records to pick up. Time will tell on that. I wanted to get a tour of the plant and actually save some money on shipping but the shipping savings probably won't be as big of a deal. The xForever Warx records cost me over $700 to have shipped to me from California which was and is an insane amount of money. The plant didn't contact me to ask me how I wanted them shipped. They just stuck them on a pallet and sent them to me air freight. If I would have known that it was going to be so much (they just bill the credit card on file), I would have come up with another option for sure. Every dollar saved on something like shipping can be spent somewhere else. That's my motto. Anyway, hopefully the Decontaminate and As Hope Dies records come out on schedule. I got the test presses the other day and I'm pretty excited about them.
This week we announced that TOLLS has joined the roster. We're really psyched about that. When they got the demo I was a bit hesitant at first because they are in such close proximity to another LSR band (xfortunex) but TOLLS (and xfortunex) are both great bands and we're excited to see what's next for these bands. We're going to start working on an official release for TOLLS latest EP called Bleeding Nectar. It's amazing and I can't wait to get it in production.
Speaking of the Northwest, the Altar/xfortunex split 7"s came in this week. We did this as a 3-way split between each band and us, so we got 50 copies to sell and we're well over halfway sold out on them. so if you're interested in this record (or you just wanna catch em all), don't sleep on this one. There are no plans for a re-pressing of this. We're almost out of the split cassettes too.
So, here's what's next after the As Hope Dies & Decontaminate releases. Excessive Force on CD/vinyl. The original plan was going to be a 12" with the In Your Blood and the Vengeance is Mine but apparently no one did the math because when I got it ready to send out, I realized that we were way over length on it so both releases won't fit on a single record. Which makes sense, right? The plan now is going to be the In Your Blood 12" split across multiple colors and labels (LSR, Inspirit and Contraband) and then a CD with both on them and also including the Inside Front version of Vengeance. That CD will include an Obi strip for the first pressing too so collectors, start your engines! I hope to have the audio re-formatted and the layout fixed this week for a pre-order launching somewhere in July.
After that, the Triphammer 12". Just need some liner notes from the band to wrap that one up. I think that will be a 12" only
A bunch of other stuff is coming up after that but I'm going to keep this post short and maybe do these more often. Until next time. X
