Contact is a Richmond-based hardcore band formed in 2019 confronting empire, xenophobia, and the false gods of nation, technology, and consumerism. Their sound is urgent and confrontational, but their lyrics cut deeper than anger — they are political, spiritual, and fiercely introspective.
Drawing from anti-imperial theology and existential struggle, Contact challenges Christian nationalism, techno-fascism, and the mechanized systems that hollow out the human soul. Blending blistering hardcore intensity with philosophical and spiritual depth, Contact stands in the lineage of bands like 108, Shelter, Have Heart, Strongarm, Burn, and Strife.
This is hardcore for those who still believe resistance has a soul.
Touring regionally over the past 5 years and releasing two EPs through Patient Zero and Beach Rat Records, Contact is committed to the live experience and DIY ethic over TikTok algorithms and online hype mechanisms. We believe that hardcore uniquely offers community and real-life experience in a digitized age of loneliness and hopelessness.
