Excessive Force
Excessive Force was a straight‑edge metallic hardcore band out of Orange County, California, known for delivering raw, aggressive energy throughout the mid‑’90s. Fronted by Dan Gump—who was juggling band life with serving as an aircraft mechanic in the Marine Corps—the group didn’t get to tour much, but they still made a mark with their 1995 full‑length In Your Blood, a record that’s been reissued several times over the years. The band originally wrapped things up around 1996, but after decades of silence, they surprised everyone by reuniting in 2026 for a long‑awaited return at FYA Fest 12 in Orlando, tearing through classics like “Distress,” “Backtrack,” and “Judgement Day.”
